The Town is distributing $2.25 million dollars to homeowners and renters in the form of a Rebate Check for $150 per household.
Homeowners who received a 2007 STAR Exemption do not have to file an application. Your check will be automatically sent to you. Homeowners who did not receive a 2007 STAR Exemption need to fill out an application in order to receive the Clifton Park Rebate check, and provide appropriate documentation.
OWNERS/RENTERS GENERAL INFORMATION:
You must fill out an application to claim a Town of Clifton Park rebate check if, as a resident:
1. You are the owner/occupant of a one, two or three family home, as of June 1, 2007 and you have not received a STAR exemption for the 2007 year.
2. You are a tenant with a valid lease, of a one, two or three family home in the Town of Clifton Park Boundaries as of June 1, 2007
3. You are a tenant with a valid lease, of an apartment located in the Town of Clifton Park Boundaries as of June 1, 2007.
4. Applications will be accepted through December 10, 2007.
5. Your application and documentation will be reviewed by the Clifton Park Assessor.

NOTE: If you qualify under numbers 1, 2 or 3 above you must attach, to your application, a copy of your lease, deed, or other proof of ownership or occupancy.
3 EASY WAYS TO APPLY
• Application packages have been made available to apartment complex management for distribution to their tenants.
• Stop by Town Hall to pick up an application or call the Assessor’s Office (518) 371-6460 to have one mailed to you.
• Go to www.cliftonpark.org and click on the “Tax Rebate Information” box and print out your application. Complete and mail it to Clifton Park Town Hall, Assessment Office.
