SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Help the area's homeless by eating at the Shelters of Saratoga's Annual Taste of Saratoga.
More than 35 restaurants will cook up their gourmet specialties at the Key Bank-sponsored event scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday in the Canfield Casino.
Guests can sample food by all of the participating restaurants for $60 or $110 per couple. Tickets are slightly more if bought at the door.
Proceeds help defray operating costs for Shelters of Saratoga, the only homeless shelter serving adult men and women in Saratoga and Warren counties. The shelter provides services to an estimated 250 homeless people a year.
This is the organization's biggest fundraiser, typically attracting more than 300 guests. Shelters of Saratoga hopes to raise $40,000.
