Lunch to aid Clifton Park girl

CLIFTON PARK — A fundraiser luncheon to benefit Hannah's Hope Fund, in honor of Hannah Sames, will be held Oct. 22, at the Outback Steakhouse, Route 146.

Sames, 4, of Clifton Park, recently was diagnosed with giant axonal neuropathy, a rare genetic disorder for which there is no cure, no treatment, no clinical trial and no ongoing research. Hannah's parents, family and friends are raising funds to pay for research and raise awareness.

The food has been donated and all proceeds benefit the foundation. The lunch costs $20, which includes a three-course meal (salad, entree, chocolate dessert, beverages). There is a choice of grilled chicken or sirloin steak, and of garlic mashed potatoes or steamed broccoli.

The seatings are 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Takeout is available. The deadline to buy tickets is Oct. 15.
