Last updated: 11:41 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2009 CLIFTON PARK —Three Shenendehowa Central School District buses were damaged in a fire that started at 4:07 this morning, Saratoga County Fire Coordinator Ed Tromblay said.
The buses sustained enough damage that they cannot be used, but the district was able to use other buses and classes were not delayed.
Tromblay says the fire is not suspicious, though investigators have no yet released a cause.
The buses were parked outside at the district's garage. All three were hooked up to an electrical heating system to ward off the overnight cold.
The fire started on one of the buses and spread to the others. The first bus was gutted and the other two were heavily damaged.
