Ice Storm Cleanup

Town of Clifton Park Ice Storm Debris Pickup Information
Clifton Park Highway Superintendent Rick Kukuk has announced that ice storm debris pickup is expected to resume in early to mid-April. The town is expected to award a contract for the work and announce a schedule for when crews will visit each neighborhood in early April. The schedule will be available on the town’s Web site, www.cliftonpark.org, as well as in Town Hall and in local media.

While town officials wish to remove the ice storm debris from the side of the road as soon as possible, officials also want to make sure that no homes are skipped. For this reason, residents are encouraged to begin moving any debris on their property to the side of the road as the snow melts.

All debris from private property must be placed at the curbline within the highway boundaries to be eligible for removal. This is because the debris must be in the public right-of-way for the town to qualify for state and federal funding.

Only vegetative debris (tree trunks and branches) resulting from the ice storm are eligible for removal under this program. Residents can call the highway department at 371-7310 with any questions.
