BALLSTON SPA — A Saratoga County jury found a Clifton Park man guilty of 22 counts of sexual abuse, the county's district attorney said today.
David W. Hayes, 39, was found guilty of four counts of felony sexual abuse, one count of felony sexual conduct against a child, several counts of misdemeanor sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
The verdict was announced Tuesday before acting Saratoga County Court Judge Karen Drago after a trial that lasted more than a week.
A female child testified in court against Hayes, and endured cross examination from the defendant's attorney, Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Jensen said.
Sentencing is July 14.
