Sheriff's Dept. Investigates Burglaries in Clifton Park

(Clifton Park, N.Y.) Residents in one Clifton Park neighborhood are locking their doors and keeping a lookout for strangers in their development. This after several homes were burglarized in the middle of the night. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Department confirms it is investigating in the area near Woodin road. Neighbors say the burglars have been entering homes through un-locked doors and taking women's purses or wallets. Patti Norris said her and her daughter's purses were stolen from the kitchen table of their Deer Run Hollow home. Norris says only five dollars was stolen. She adds, "On March 31st. It was a Monday. The Police knocked at the door around quarter of seven and returned part of my wallet."

Lori Law, who lives right down the road says she had three bottles of Champagne stolen from the refrigerator in her garage. "I think it happened when we were awake. I think we were at home when it happened."

We tried to find out from the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department if they have any suspects in this case or if any arrests have been made. But they have not returned our calls
